Our annual showcase highlights the daring and innovative work of the graduate and undergraduate students of the NYU Game Center. Check out over 100 projects ranging from one week experiments in our Prototype Studio course to year-long thesis and capstone work.
Games first debuted at our annual Student Showcase have gone on to critical and commercial success, winning major awards, showing in festivals all over the world, and launching on console, PC, and mobile. Be the first to play this exciting cohort of games.
Free and open to the public.
One part nerd, one part slurred, Super Trashed Bros brings together comedy, video games and alcohol at a super rad bar in Brooklyn. Join comedians Jesse McGrath, Seamus Calder, Rachel Levinson as well as Brandon Garner as they virtually battle amongst themselves while physically battling inebriation. Audience participation is essential as a live crowd and online viewers—from the streaming platform Twitch—suggest new rules and new gags. Power-up, throw down and push buttons (in more ways than one)!
This show is a tournament. Drinking jaRules apply! And there are lots of prizes, including a bar tab for the first place competitor!
LAN Party is an interactive comedy show where comedians play video games alongside a live audience.
It’s like a big video game hang out party, where the audience is encouraged to shout out directions and advice as the comedians make their way through the weird video games chosen for them to play.
This month, we’re going to be hunting dinosaurs in TUROK with comedians Emily Winter and Chris Calogero!
So come to the The Creek and The Cave in NYC at 8 PM to hang out! Or follow online at https://www.twitch.tv/harddrivenews. Either way, the show is totally free!
All inclusive game dev expo with panels, talks, and an expo hall filled with indie games made by creators of color.
The 2018 Game Devs of Color Expo is open to people of all genders, races, abilities, sexual orientations, and religions. We are committed to ensuring that this event is inclusive to all. For example, the venue is wheelchair accessibile, live captions will be displayed for all talks and presentations, and gender-neutral restrooms will be available.
Come celebrate the release of Smash Ultimate with us and play for the chance to win a $100 gift card to Alamo Draft House!
