Each Player gets 1 life and must queue up in order to play each game.
Fighting Games is 5 mins per person or single loss.

* note you cannot re-enter the venue between 3:00-6:00am if you had left prior, however if you are still inside you will not be required to leave
– The event will run consecutively for 50hrs from Midnight on December 7th until 2:00am EST on December 9th.
* Please note that from 3:00-6:00am EST each night the entrance doors will be closed. This means you are free to leave during those hours, but you may not re-enter until 6:00am EST.
Streamed live for all 48 hours – with a Winner stays on format on stream when no event is actively ongoing.

Welcome to the Super Smash Bros. Ultimate release party at the NYXL pop-up shop in Brooklyn! It’s an honor to work alongside an Overwatch League team to bring events like this to the Tristate Smash community. Let’s let them know exactly how awesome our scene is!
Come drop in any time after 2 pm on the day the game drops to get matches in on one of the 15+ consoles (or bring your own!) to start learning the new game alongside some of NYC’s best players–or just to have fun!

Salty Joystiq Esports Lounge is bringing you guys a chance to play Smash Bros Ultimate All NIGHT! There are a lot of characters in this game and there are plenty of matches to be played to help players unlock them all. So come out with your switch and dock and set up shop for a night of smash. -Due to the upcoming nature of Super Smash Bros Ultimate any rules are subject to change UP UNTIL THE DAY OF THE EVENT.
At this time we aim to run 3 stock 8 minute best of 3 matches that switch to best of 5 for later rounds. Check back for added rules to be added once the TOs know more about the game.
Smash Melee –
Melee shall be operated via the EVO 2018 ruleset, and are as follows.
Game version: US Nintendo GameCube
Game Settings: 4 Stock, 8 Minute Time Limit, No Items, Pause Disabled, 2/3 Games
Starter stages: Yoshi’s Story, Fountain of Dreams, Final Destination, Battlefield, Dream Land.
Counter-pick stages: Pokemon Stadium.
Wobbling is legal. Freezing and infinite stalling are not legal.
First stage is decided by banning from the Starter Stages in P1-P2-P2-P1 order.
Winning player is not locked into the same character for the next match, but has to pick before loser selects character.
Following stages decided by winner banning one stage from all stages and then loser choosing.
Any matches that are best of five, there are no stage bans.
You may not choose a stage you have already won on unless mutually agreed to.

About the Long Island Retro Gaming Expo – August 2019
Long Island’s premier gaming convention began with a simple idea, “Let’s make the kind of show we’d all want to go to!” And that’s exactly what they’ve done by providing a friendly and welcoming environment to everyone, including guests, volunteers and vendors. Heading into their 5th year in 2019, their “fun-first” approach has guided them from a small single day show to a multi-day celebration of gaming with over 4300 attendees in 2018. In 2017, they expanded their reach to include tabletop gaming, and the Long Island Tabletop Gaming Expo was born. The BBQ is BACK once again, and this time, it’s Nitro Fuled!
We will be meeting once again at the Brooklyn Bridge Park Pier 5, Celebrating Crash Team Racing: Nitro Fueled! We’re also planning to host the BBQ on Sunday, July 21st, with July 28th as the rain date.
To determine the headcount of how many people are attending, we strongly recommend to set your RSVP notice as “Going”, because marking it as “Interested” is too vague for us. We want to make sure that we will be buying the right amount of food to feed everybody in attendance. If there are extra guests that would like to attend, please let us know, and consider contributing an item to the event.
We will also be keeping track on food, beverages, and other supplies that will be contributed to the BBQ in the form of a Google Spreadsheet. Please note that contributing something will likely factor into food intake for the event, so in the interest of fairness, please consider bringing something, to help the BBQ run smoothly!
Check out the items that are being listed for the BBQ on the spreadsheet, so we don’t end up with a large surplus of items or supplies we don’t need much of, such as bags of chips.

To get to the Brooklyn Bridge Park – Pier 5, you can take the 2/3/4/5 trains to the Borough Hall stop.
From Borough Hall, head west on Joralemon Street, and keep walking until you reach Brooklyn Bridge Park Pier 5. That will be a 13-minute walk.
You could also take the N/W/R trains to the Court Street stop. From there, walk to Montague Street, then walk until you reach Clinton Street. Afterwards, you head to Joralemon Street, and keep walking until you reach Brooklyn Bridge Park Pier 5. This altogether is a 10-12 minute walk.
You could also take the A/C/F trains to the Jay Street/Metrotech stop, but that’s about a 16-17 minute walk.
Once you enter the Pier, we should have seating available with shade. We’ll spend our time chatting, gaming, and of course, eating while our grillmasters will be working the BBQ pits for the day.
