48 HOURS STRAIGHT OF SMASH ULTIMATE!!!

Over 20 Switches will be available.

48 hour all-access passes are available for $20 USD

Event will be catered with hot food!

Copies of Ultimate Smash will be available for Purchase while supplies last

Events:

– 36 Hour Continuous Ladder Tournament From 12:00PM EST 12/7 until 12:00AM EST 12/9

– 2v2 Doubles Bracket – Saturday 12/8 starting at 3:00 PM EST

– 1v1 Singles Bracket Saturday Evening 12/8 (exact time TBD)

– Drop in and drop out access for almost all 48 hours!
* note you cannot re-enter the venue between 3:00-6:00am if you had left prior, however if you are still inside you will not be required to leave

– The event will run consecutively for 50hrs from Midnight on December 7th until 2:00am EST on December 9th.
* Please note that from 3:00-6:00am EST each night the entrance doors will be closed. This means you are free to leave during those hours, but you may not re-enter until 6:00am EST.

Streamed live for all 48 hours – with a Winner stays on format on stream when no event is actively ongoing.

Tournament Prizes Per Event:

– 36 Hour Ladder Tournament – Free Encore Esports Monthly Unlimited Pass!

– 2v2 Doubles Bracket – A Free Switch Pro or Smash Ultimate Gamecube Controller for each Winning Team Member!

– 1v1 Singles Bracket – Aside from the split of the buy-in money, the winner will also receive free venue to any Encore hosted Smash Ultimate tournaments through the end of March 2019! Buy-in money will be split as follows:

– 1st Place – 60%
– 2nd Place – 30%
– 3rd Place – 10%

– Pre-registration Raffle – Free Copy of Super Smash Bros. Ultimate for the Nintendo Switch!
* Eligible to everyone who pre-registers and pre-pays for the event at least 48 hours before the start of the event

Super Smash Bros. Ultimate releases on December 7th, and to celebrate the launch of the game, we’ll be hosting a tournament at Waypoint Cafe! We’ll be teaming up with Waypoint Cafe as we bring you this huge launch event!

Signups will start at 3 PM We’ll be cutting off signups around 5-5:30 PM, or until it’s filled up The tournament will be starting at 6 PM. All entries will be at a First Come, First Served basis, so if you want to guarantee your spot, we suggest you show up as early as possible. We recommend you also bring your own controller.

To get to Waypoint Cafe, take the D Train to Grand St. From there, it’s a five minute walk to Ludlow St. After you reach Ludlow, make a left turn, and it’s a very short walk. You could also take the F Train to Delancey St. From there, it’s a three minute walk to Ludlow.

Venue entry is $12 in advance, $15 at the door. Advance tickets end the Friday before at midnight.

There will be stations set up, but we encourage you to bring your Switch. The first 20 people who bring a setup (switch/dock/monitor) will receive free admission! We will have as many extra gamecube controllers and USB adapters as possible.

There will be security precautions in place to ensure that everyone’s stuff is safe as well.

Tournament rules –

Smash Ultimate –
-Due to the upcoming nature of Super Smash Bros Ultimate any rules are subject to change UP UNTIL THE DAY OF THE EVENT.
At this time we aim to run 3 stock 8 minute best of 3 matches that switch to best of 5 for later rounds. Check back for added rules to be added once the TOs know more about the game.

Smash Melee –
Melee shall be operated via the EVO 2018 ruleset, and are as follows.

Game version: US Nintendo GameCube
Game Settings: 4 Stock, 8 Minute Time Limit, No Items, Pause Disabled, 2/3 Games
Starter stages: Yoshi’s Story, Fountain of Dreams, Final Destination, Battlefield, Dream Land.
Counter-pick stages: Pokemon Stadium.
Wobbling is legal. Freezing and infinite stalling are not legal.
First stage is decided by banning from the Starter Stages in P1-P2-P2-P1 order.
Winning player is not locked into the same character for the next match, but has to pick before loser selects character.
Following stages decided by winner banning one stage from all stages and then loser choosing.
Any matches that are best of five, there are no stage bans.
You may not choose a stage you have already won on unless mutually agreed to.

We have some house sticks but definitely please feel free to bring your own stick/controller to ensure so you don’t have to wait for one to free up.

· DON’T BE CREEPY. Our intent is to provide a fun, safe space for all attendees. Harassers will be kicked out of the venue on the spot, and banned from further events.
