Blinking, beaming, and ringing, The Lost Arcade intimately memorializes the end of video arcades in New York City, while celebrating the camaraderie and history of a pop culture phenomenon. The film is an exceptional directorial debut that focuses on the Chinatown Fair, the Mott Street landmark where generations honed their craft, made friends and lost at tic-tac-toe to a chicken. Masterfully presenting the sights and sounds of a changing scene, wistful yet hopeful, and full of the faces and characters that radiate fun and innovation, The Lost Arcade is a dazzling portrait of technostalgia and a timely commentary on the corporate era’s incineration of modest businesses, and the resiliency of the dedicated enthusiasts.
Director/Producer Irene Chin will host a Q&A after screening.

Irene Chin is a filmmaker and writer originally from Alexandria, Virginia and Honolulu, Hawaii, and now lives in Brooklyn, New York. Her first short film as director/producer, The Bachelorette Party, premiered at the NewFilmmakers NY series at Anthology Film Archives. Her first documentary as writer/producer, The Lost Arcade, premiered at DOC NYC and went on to screen at the International Film Festival Rotterdam, Wexner Center for the Arts, Open City Docs London, Melbourne International Film Festival, Glasgow International Film Festival, IFFBoston. The New York Times called The Lost Arcade, “Part scrappy, part sweet, and wholly enjoyable…a love letter to a vanished piece of New York.” The New Yorker said the film was “raw and intimate.” Irene graduated from the School of Visual Arts in New York.

We’re excited to announce an explosive event with Tetris for their 35th anniversary! On Saturday, June 8th, we’ll be celebrating at all eight Barcade locations. Hard Drop by for themed food and drink specials, giveaways, and exclusive merch!
One part nerd, one part slurred, Super Trashed Bros brings together comedy, video games and alcohol at a super rad bar in Brooklyn. Join comedians Jesse McGrath, Seamus Calder, and Brandon Garner as they virtually battle amongst themselves while physically battling inebriation. Audience participation is essential as a live crowd and online viewers—from the streaming platform Twitch—suggest new rules and new gags. Power-up, throw down and push buttons (in more ways than one)!
This show is a tournament. Drinking jaRules apply!
Also, if you’re not good at video games, you can still win an #Amiibo (the GoodsportsMiibo) for people who cheer the loudest, jeer the funniest, support others, and have the best time. We’re so generous.

The BBQ is BACK once again, and this time, it’s Nitro Fuled!
We will be meeting once again at the Brooklyn Bridge Park Pier 5, Celebrating Crash Team Racing: Nitro Fueled! We’re also planning to host the BBQ on Sunday, July 21st, with July 28th as the rain date.
To determine the headcount of how many people are attending, we strongly recommend to set your RSVP notice as “Going”, because marking it as “Interested” is too vague for us. We want to make sure that we will be buying the right amount of food to feed everybody in attendance. If there are extra guests that would like to attend, please let us know, and consider contributing an item to the event.
We will also be keeping track on food, beverages, and other supplies that will be contributed to the BBQ in the form of a Google Spreadsheet. Please note that contributing something will likely factor into food intake for the event, so in the interest of fairness, please consider bringing something, to help the BBQ run smoothly!
Check out the items that are being listed for the BBQ on the spreadsheet, so we don’t end up with a large surplus of items or supplies we don’t need much of, such as bags of chips.

To get to the Brooklyn Bridge Park – Pier 5, you can take the 2/3/4/5 trains to the Borough Hall stop.
From Borough Hall, head west on Joralemon Street, and keep walking until you reach Brooklyn Bridge Park Pier 5. That will be a 13-minute walk.
You could also take the N/W/R trains to the Court Street stop. From there, walk to Montague Street, then walk until you reach Clinton Street. Afterwards, you head to Joralemon Street, and keep walking until you reach Brooklyn Bridge Park Pier 5. This altogether is a 10-12 minute walk.
You could also take the A/C/F trains to the Jay Street/Metrotech stop, but that’s about a 16-17 minute walk.
Once you enter the Pier, we should have seating available with shade. We’ll spend our time chatting, gaming, and of course, eating while our grillmasters will be working the BBQ pits for the day.
