Square Button Massacre @ Waypoint Cafe NYC
Feb 9 @ 11:00 am – 9:00 pm

We welcome you to Square Button Massacre The event will showcase the most classic form of FGC combat, King of The Hill. Choose out of any one (or all three) games we will be showcasing and dominate til someone knocks you off the sticks. The first place winner will have a glorious award as the second and third place winner will have something that would inspire them to do better.
The event will be at Waypoint Cafe! Located at 65 Ludlow Street. If you need to take public transportation you can take the B,D train to Grand street or the J,F,M train to Delancey/Essex Street INFORMATION ABOUT TRAIN DELAYS AND ANY OTHER CHANGES IN MTA SERVICE WILL BE POSTED ACCORDINGLY.
The games (and schedule) that will be showcased are….

Game One – Soul Caliber 6
11:00am Sign up / Friendlies
12pm Start
2pm End / Award Ceremony

Game Two – Dragonball FighterZ
2pm Sign Up /Friendlies
3pm Start
5pm End / Award Ceremony

Game Three – Super Smash Brothers Ultimate
5pm Sign Up / Friendlies
6pm Start
8pm End / Award Ceremony

RULES

1. SIGN UPS ARE FIRST COME FIRST SERVED
Sounds very simple enough right? Just because you signed up within the allotted hour time does not mean that you will get a chance to play in the event. We will be under a very tight time schedule and final matches will be at the time closest to the wrap of the game. The list will resume after the award ceremony but WILL NOT COUNT TOWARDS THE EVENT.

2. SMACK TALK NOT TRUMP TALK.
We actually encourage competitiveness and trash talking. It’s welcomed but don’t be dicks. No questions asked you will be dropped, and if you’re with a crew. They will be dropped too. It’s not hard to say you suck without sounding like a 12 year old playing Call of Duty with voice masking.

3. KING OF THE HILL – YOU LOSE, YOU’RE OUT.
For the event you play until you lose. If you lose you cant play unless everyone else on the list loses and then by default it resets accordingly to the number you signed up as. As mentioned before the top 3 winners from each game will receive an award.

This goes without saying but BRINGING YOUR OWN STICKS IS HIGHLY RECOMMEND! This is like the golden rule at FGC events but in case you don’t Waypoint Cafe NYC does have a very limited supply and we do mean limited. So if you don’t bring your own sticks we do not want to hear any crying about how you didn’t win cause of the controller you didn’t bring cause of “insert excuse here”.

The event will be streamed on The Waypoint Cafe Twitch channel.

More details about the event would be posted in the future!
